I have a 2001 Volvo, model S40. During the last six months, I've experienced a stalled car engine -- especially when the car is idling at a stop light. When the stall happens, I must floor the accelerator to restart the engine again. This problem is the same as those already reported to the NHTSA for other Volvo models for the years 1999 to 2001.10/10

2001 Volvo S40 I like everything about my 2001 s40 Volvo, it runs good and good on gas, the up keep is little, I have very little problems it is reliable, the features are outstanding, it will get me from A to B I got my 2001 s40 Volvo in 2012 as a used car and as of 2018 the up keep has been outstanding.

2010 Volvo S40 Base I love my Volvo. It makes me feel so safe and has so many airbags. I love that for me, there is no blind spot. It drives smoothly and I have never had any problems with it except for regular maintenance. The trunk is a little small for us, but we have made it work.
