Apr 29, 2005 · I also have the Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition form Lavasoft. I have used it and it has quanintened number of files. I do hope that it took care of this 'backdoor.ryejet'. That is the virus that was described to a T as far as what it was doing to my PC. Did not show up, though - through an AVG scan. It must have been a simular type problem virus.

Ad aware an excellent product. Right now I use the free version as my computer under Vista is now obsolete but still works though Chrome no longer updates. Opera and Quant seem to support. I shall soon be moving to Windows 10 or Mac.

Sep 16, 2012 · Ad Aware will not start on my system. It does start in browser but I cannot scan my computer for viruses nor check settings. I called customer service/sales who put me through to customer support, who offered to "fix" my computer (he told me that I have infections/viruses) for $220.00 per year.
