Aug 27, 2012 · They offered direct deposit checking accounts with no fees. I knew the tellers at the bank and they are always friendly and helpful. A few years ago they got bought out by a slightly bigger local bank called Amegy Bank. I like being a processor at Amegy Bank but in the past year lots of loan processors and processing managers have left this locations. The workload is constantly changing due to this and management left is not very helpful to putting in the time with new hires as to training which is non-existent. CheckFree is the entity used by my bank (Amegy) to process on-line bill payments. My Nov and Dec payments to Americredit/GMAC were processed early causing my bank account to be debited for a $35 NSF fee both times. CheckFree sends my payment to Americredit via paper check and US Mail.
