I am more than looking forward to see "Arriva" in action. Yes this is a serious company but there is no way that this company will run smoothly in Malta if it not run by foreigners. If Maltese are going to run it the result will be that may as well have kept the old buses and drivers.

In MALTA last week and wanted to go to my favourite eating place Ill Barri in Mgarr.. So caught the bus from Bugibba to Mosta to change for the Mgarr bus (100 deg heat) waited 2 hrs yes 2hrs not 30 min for the bus , when it finally arrived the driver let on 4 people who pushed in (FRENCH) remember Waterloo,then shut the door and drove off.. So only thing to do was catch the bus back to Bugibba ...

IE a day ticket cost 1.50 euro for a Maltese citizen but any other EU citizen has to pay 2.50. This is against EU law, as it discriminates against other EU citizens. Anyone from Arriva buses care to explain to the many tourist that visit Malta, why you are breaking EU laws and ripping them off?
