I wish I had reviewed these comments before purchasing the AT&T fast access DSL. I was also enticed to AT&T by the two rebate offers totalling $125. The AT&T store rep in West Palm Beach, FL helped me to complete the rebate forms, which were mailed within a week of the purchase (in July 2009).

I switched our DSL service to SBC some months ago. At that time, I paid $50 for a new DSL modem, with the promise from SBC/AT&T that this would be promptly rebated. I filled out my rebate form and mailed it to the correct address. My information was entered into the SBC/AT&T system, according to customer service people. I have received no rebate.

Just an fyi, SBC purchased at&t so the services, people and company ARE the same, just changed the name is all. Any rebate normally takes 10-12 weeks for processing. Being charged for "dial" services stems from not registering your DSL properly with the "dial" e-mail address upon setting up the DSL. I personally realized the same mistake.
