I was with CIBC for about five years and was never satisfied. Customer service has always been poor though phone and at branch locations, never been especially friendly, and always trying to sell you new services or create new accounts that aren't wanted, very assertive about it too. Very reluctant to make changes and cancel accounts as well.

Jan 26, 2006 · The customer service supervisor even said to me "I get lots of complaints about this and if the wording on the bill was clear, the world would be a better place and there would be no complaints." I then cancelled my visa account. CIBC Visa interprets their rules to suit them, even though the rules on the bill are vague.

I have been a customer of CIBC ever… I have been a customer of CIBC ever since I've had a debit card. Their e deposit holds checks for up to 3-5 days which I called CIBC to ask why they are holding my checks and the lady I spoke to was so beyond rude. Customer service is clearly not their strong suit.
