May 27, 2011 · Rated Ciprodex for Otitis Media Report. Daughter has tubes and this is a great local med to clear up her now occasional Otitis MEdia. Must warm bottle in hands for 2-3 minutes prior to using as some kids have pain if drops are put in cold. Probably what happened to the previous reviewer's kid.4/5(3)

Ciprodex was not as safe was was indicated and the over-prescription by the doctor likely contributed to the problem. The itchy ear canals came back after treatment anyways so in any event it would have been a poor option even if it didn't create much more serious problems.
