2005 Dodge Stratus SXT I own a 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT with the 3.7 V6 motor. I loved the car and its horsepower, and the sleek design on the interior. I bought a car in Jan 2020 which has been sitting a few/couple years and I found 3 recalls on it. 1999 Dodge Stratus 2.4. I emailed U S customer care/ Dodge customer care and got mail back stating yes on 3 recalls and a dealer in reno nv to call. I called and service and parts dept said yes on recalls. Bring it in to check and advise to fix.

2001 Dodge Stratus...noise in front end. Told it was bearings on 3 separate occasions, and they were replaced. Engine ticking/ possible valve tap numerous complaints to dealer being told that year model runs rough; and could trade it for a more expensive car. Now trying to have rear struts put in and the aluminum plate that holds them in is powder.

Now the Dodge dealer is saying that the timing belt pulley has locked up and has shredded the belt and the exhaust manifold is cracked. The service department has told me that the pulleys never go out at this low of mileage. However, I have read numerous complaints about the same thing happening to other 1997 Stratus owners.
