NHBC are marketed as the organisation to protect the home owner. On the contrary, they are in bed with the builder. Ridiculous processes and timelines, inexperienced investigators, I had to educate them on building regs approved document e. After initial complaint they sided with the builder.

The only issue was the NHBC was unable to help with less than half of the complaints. 1. All the uPVC windows and doors didn't fit correctly - a professional report from the plastic window federation was supplied to NHBC - NHBC could not accept the report and were not prepared to get a report completed that they would accept!

NHBC really seems like a company who cares about people, it takes great steps to ensure working life is positive. There is a fantastic canteen, the office and location is great and the work is really unique in terms of the offering and Social Responsibility angle.4/5(25)

NHBC are there to protect the builders not the customer as you are led to believe. A few weeks after my complaint NHBC contacted us with a visit date. I had to ask our 2 neighbours to sign a form to say they were happy with me to act as lead. An NHBC representative came to assess the drive in the pouring rain.
