Jun 12, 2016 · Monday 6th June came and we escalated our complaint. We were told that if we could get in a position to exchange by the end of the day, they would speak to the MD to arrange to re instate the contract. We managed to do this, but Barratt Homes, at approx 4.30pm, called to say that they would not be reinstating the contract.

After 6 months of chasing for a kitchen falling to pieces, a bathroom with tiles falling off the wall and a leaking bay window I feel I'm not getting anywhere with them. My complaint has been escalated to the area customer care manager who promptly referred me back to site where I have poor service for 6 months. I do not recommend barratt homes.

Barratt homes know this already because it is a common issue with their terrible new builds, but if you have complaint issues with them too, be prepared for them to dig in and run rings around you, as well as the NHBC who they have in their pocket, they work together to do this to customers who try and overturn bad workmanship.1.6/5(207)

We have had issue after issue and poor customer service from Barratt homes. We have recently flagged up an issue with our garden, which is water logged as soon as there Is some rain. Barratt homes attended and then sent us an email stating that because it is out of the 2 year builders warranty there is nothing they can do.

Jan 14, 2010 · Hiya, Barratt homes are in the process of building loads of new homes local to me and I'm interested in buying one. Trouble is, I'm a bit unsure about buying a brand new home in general, as I've heard that you can be more likely to make a loss upon reselling as the house usually depreciates in value once you've moved in.
