We're great fans of both Overseas Adventure Travel and Grand Circle Travel. We have taken 2 GCT tours and 5 OAT tours. Both GCT and OAT are part of the same travel company. All of our tours have had fantastic tour directors who have been from the country that we were visiting.

Updated: December 2019. Many times I have been asked which tour company is best to go on multi-day international tours, G Adventures (formerly known as Gap Adventures) or Intrepid Travel. Sometimes choosing between these two adventure travel companies can be a challenge since both offer almost the same tours for the same audience at a similar price range.

A lot of these complaints seem to be about losing deposits or not getting money for cancellation - this is pretty standard in the industry I think. I don’t buy insurance with Gate 1, but I do make sure I have really good insurance with my credit card, personal travel insurance through a couple providers as well.2.8/5(178)
