Brick and mortar teachers unions and some local school districts aren't too happy with virtual schools because of $$ issues. It was a different setting then a regular classroom which was a nice change. If I were to go back the a Connections Academy school I would want to work from home then in the office, but since I am a Special Education Teacher, they require you to work in the office. May 08, 2014 · Hi, I was homeschooled through Ohio Connections Academy from 5th through high school. I graduated through them last May. At first it was awesome but as the years have gone on it's gone down hill. My homework got harder and the teachers more distant. I struggle with math and require an extra breakdown of each step.
