Complaints I have about Contiki: *The accomodation was very crowded, for example 3 people to a 2-bed room. In Florence, I got forced into a trailer and I had NO room to open my suitcase. thanks for the tips and advice. this is why I avoid tours whenever possible. the only tour I took was thirty years ago, to London and Paris,with a well known tour company. it was my first solo trip to Europe,and I was at a loss as to how to plan it on my own. it wasn't terrible,just not great. lots of rushing about to see so many places in so little time,seen from a coach window mostly.

When my friend was looking to travel to Europe I encouraged her to try Contiki – it’s a nice way to get a sample of different countries and cities.

Nov 04, 2019 · It’s a lot easier to meet people in a group of 12 than it is in a group of 60. I don’t like to go on tours with more than 15 people on them. However, I have friends who love Contiki tours with 40-50 people. Know what you are getting yourself into, so you don’t find yourself with a group too small or too large for your tastes.
