Oct 11, 2017 · Thinking that the unit was fixed and the fact that my son purchased the same laptop without an issues, I thought maybe it was fixed. So I purchased a Dell XPS and when it works its fine but when I charge the battery and leave it closed the system gets incredibly hot., close to 200 degrees F and stays hot for about three hours.

I have to think the are not aware of how much a total failure their customer service is. IF they are losing market share I am guessing besides not fielding a properly working computer out of the box, it is due to the lack of customer service. I will be returning the laptop I bought tomorrow and that is the last Dell will ever see of my money.

tremendous amounts of bad reviews. I contacted dell to get this situation resolved because someone should have done a recall, but they didn't. I could not get no help with my computer.
