Aug 02, 2018 · It was supposedly a policy for DIRECTV for a new customer with no previous experience with DIRECTV. The policy makes no sense at all. So, we simply used Amazon to locate the exact model. It comes with a remote control and worked straight out of the box. You'll have to call DIRECTV once it's hooked up and authorize it so that it's legal.3.4/5

They tell you all you have to do is put your old receiver and remote in a bag or box, take it by FedEx and they will scan it and return it to Directv. Well, Fedex told me that they do not have a return facility here for that program on the MS Gulf Coast.
