Admittedly, there are some who prefer Returns to Tropical Freeze, with one of the largest complaints being that the latter is too hard. I’ll be honest, I don’t have that issue with any of the Donkey Kong Country games, whether the original trio on SNES or these newer iterations.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a very good game, but I thought there were too many collectables in one level. For example, you have seven puzzle pieces and four letters which form the word 'KONG'. This means you have eleven collectables to collect in a level which doesn't take too long to beat.

Sep 20, 2013 · One of my biggest general complaints about the gameplay is that Kiddy is essentially a regression back to Donkey Kong's slow, hunkering play (Diddy was the superior option in both prior games), but without the appeal and iconic status as a character that Donkey Kong is able to pull off.
