Aug 19, 2009 · no phone service (land line) needed but i think you have to have a line w/a wall jack. once you have dry loop for dsl, you would not be able to use that phone jack for phone calls, only for dsl. i ditched my landline and went w/only dry loop and like you said, i am saving a BUNDLE.
