Mar 29, 2010 · The standard 1198 has the same Showa suspension and non-adjustable steering damper as the original 1098. What it doesn’t have is the data analyser facility or the traction control. The data logging (now up from 2mb to 4mb) can actually be added at any time by a Ducati dealer, however the traction control can’t.

Jul 27, 2017 · My 1198 kicks out heat right where the foot pegs are (the left side is the worst), and my legs have actually got light burn marks on them. It was so bad today i was balancing my toes at the very end of the foot pegs to keep them away for the escaping hot air.

Jul 10, 2012 · Comments from 1199 owners I've spoken to all praise the Pani's handling, but damn the heat, which appears to be worse even than with the 1098/1198 seres. So far no big complaints about lack of torque. The consensus is the 1199 is easier to ride.
