Several months ago one of my student loans was taken over by Heartland. The payments I was making with the original company were a little higher than I could reasonably pay, but I always managed. This new company comes along and nearly doubles my payments, my new payments are nearly a full paycheck for me. I physically cannot pay this amount.

Too bad, those options are really helpful for managing my other student loans. Instead, ECSI will receive paper checks, subject to the availability of paper envelopes, U.S. Post Office stamps, and my time to go to a mail box. I plan to send a copy of this complaint to the Director of Student Aid at the school that received the funds from the loan.

California peeps (or people who have student loans from California universities), you can help take down this company. California started requiring that student loan servicers have a California state license.
