Jun 22, 2011 · Enviroshake and other synthetics are user friendly for qualified installers. There will be some flashing/siding issues to be addressed due to the increased thickness of the deck and the new roof. Davinci is another very nice looking synthetic to consider.

The Enviroshake Web site does a slightly better job. They explain that "The Enviroshake composite blend is a mixture of post industrial plastic(s), recycled rubber elastomers and cellulosic fibre materials." Sounds like old milk bottles, old tires, and old newspapers.
