Dec 12, 2013 · - In a way, Windows 8 is kind of chaotic, but you can make it work in a better way. I think this is because Windows 8 is a transitive operating system and Microsoft hasn't completed the modern interface experience in a way it could work 100%. What I've done, is ignore completely all modern apps and use Windows 8.1 as I would use Windows 7.

Aug 13, 2018 · I manually ran gpupdate /force and eventually it showed that it was using the settings but only from within the Settings -> Update & Security area in Windows 10. I ran the gpresult but it still showed that it wasn't being applied, so I take it I need to give it more time.
