My 2002 Land Rover Freelander has experienced sluggish acceleration to a jolt and dowshifts on its own at freeway speed. About 2 weeks after buying it used I took it to a local repair shop and they said I needed a new transmission, had it towed back to the dealer and they said it didn't. needless to say they wouldn't replace it.
