We too have Gentek Steel Siding and it is blistering off. I was told by the original installer that supposedly a bad batch of primer was used and that is why it is blistering. Gentek is failing to come through on the warranty and blaming the installers even though they have showed me that it is installed correct as well as an impartial third party.

Jun 26, 2012 · I just read about other complaints about peeling and chipping steel siding. We have had this problem since 2001. We turned in our first complaint, went through warranty and it was only repainted since we have "white" siding. We talked with our local installer who had it on his house.
