We booked a vacation in Rome with Go-Today travel and it was so amazing. I had read some reviews that had indicated issues but the issues that were listed were basic rookie issues like not verifying if your flight as changed and such. In order to get good deals, they of course book you in less expensive hotels further out from the main city so if you want closer, you just have to ask.

That said, I am trying to plan a trip with family and they have seen a "groupon" for Go Today Tours - I have read mixed reviews, so I turn to my experienced fellow travelers for advice. I would rather do an independent tour or stay with Rick Steves, but me and my family members are on a serious budget.

I used go-today for a 6 day Paris trip in 2004. It was a great price so we decided to try them out. When we got to Paris - in the middle of July - we found that their bottom level hotel had no air conditioning & the window was about 1 foot square looking out into an interior courtyard with no hope for a breeze. We were able to call their London office and find another hotel with AC.

Look up the flights, the hotels (tripadvisor is a great avenue for this), book trains to get in between, and get travel insurance and look up your own places to visit (the last two items you have to do yourself even with go-today). So again, save yourself the pain, do not use go-today.com.
