The Health Quality and Complaints Commission (HQCC) ceased operations on 30 June 2014. On 1 July 2014, the Office of the Health Ombudsman commenced as Queensland's independent health complaints agency, replacing the HQCC and assuming certain functions previously performed by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
