But the Hi Point C9....never a jam, never a slide issue, and if kept clean, shot as good as any of the others. It was accurate, had little muzzle jump, average recoil, and I even put Russian steel 9mm ammo in it a lot, because it was cheap and the gun was not costly. Hi Point has a lifetime warranty, as well. Hi-Point firearms are all blowback-operated, which means they are dependent solely upon the recoil spring and the mass of the slide or bolt to control recoil. Also on order was a custom billet full length top rail that was needed to mount the Magpul BUIS that was slso on order, a double mag holder w/2 extra mags from Hi-Point that mounts to the stock, and some more mags. The Hi-Point Carbine comes in 9mm with a .40 and .45 due out sometime this year.

May 13, 2012 · A Hi-Point C9 is 29 ounces, whereas a Sigma is 24.3 ounces. By comparison, a 2.5" 686 Plus weighs about 34.1 ounces, but you get a gun that is far more powerful and reliable than the C9. (Just as a special note: the .45ACP and .40 S&W versions of the Hi-Point both weigh in at 35 ounces, which is MORE than the relatively heavyweight 686 Plus.)
