We travelled here for Christmas in 2012. I should have written this review sooner, since the "When did you travel" button only goes as far back as Feb 2013.Technically we travelled to Margarita Island and stayed in a different hotel called Costa Caribe, but this hotel was awful and we upgraded to this one.3.5/5(1.1K)

Whilst we were on holiday I personally had sickness and diarrhoea. I took Imodium for the diarrhoea. I later found out from one of the other guests who had to go to the doctor that under no circumstances should you take Imodium in Margarita as the bug on the island must exit your body. If allowed to breed it will cause inflammation of the intestines and ultimately death.
