My advice is to write a proper letter stating what happened but leaving any emotion out of it. Tell them that you are very disappointed with the level of support that you had during and after the transfer, and that you would like the cost of the taxi reimbursed, along with a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience caused on the day, and by having to sort the issue out after you got home.
