My builder is now preparing kitchen but we have discovered that the 2 X 3 metre worktops are chipboard construction and not solid hardwoods as discussed during the sales discussion. Jan 25, 2011 · I think you may find Howdens will try and pass the buck. Lamona is their own brand, but made by Beko and all the warranty work is done by them, not Howdens. I always find their Customer Service in store to be pretty good i terms of changing damaged carcasses, doors etc, but their CS when it comes to their appliances leaves alot to be desired.

Howdens have treated her appallingly and say it is not their problem. You can not take them to court as you are not a customer of Howdens and the really great trades person that fitted the kitchen can not make Howdens replace or fix the fridge either.2.6/5(52)

In my experience when there is a problem, Howdens seek to protect the fitter / joiner rather than the customer for fear of losing any future trade sales. Howdens, if you have a quality assurance procedure you should at least run it fairly and answer any questions about your products.

Apr 19, 2018 · My wife went to the store but Howdens insisted that nothing was missing. The fitter carried the work without the corner filler and now the doors do not open properly. Howdens refused to take responsibility and show no care for customer satisfaction saying that we should insisted more even if we are not the kitchen experts here!1/5
