Feb 11, 2012 · Bought Instant Fisherman for my grandsons Christmas for about £40. The line broke on the first day of trying out in the back garden. I would say the line breaking is about 1/2 lb. worse than that there are no instructions on how to change the line and three competent fisher men couldn’t work it out.

Apr 20, 2005 · If you get to remote places chances are you'll get bigger fish and rely on the quality of your gear more. A 2 or if you can find one, 3 piece rod around 9 ft, 4500 or 6500 bait runner (IMHO opinion the 4500 holds enough line, has enough drag and is lighter to carry and then hold for long stints) and a wee plastic box for hooks and bits and you are off.
