Imagine being in the grading room where order #1 has Australian decimal coins, #2 has Mexican pillar dollars, order #3 has Canadian decimal coins, order #4 has German talers.

Apr 30, 2010 · Right, NGC will assign only the base grade for problem coins VG would only be VG8 or VG10 so I don't see that being a big deal. PCGS wouldn't even say what grade it is, just that it is genuine or not ANACS will assign a numeric grade to nearly any problem coin. I don't really see any issue here at all, NGC is saying they have been cleaned but have the details of a VG coin.

Feb 23, 2018 · My guess that he submitted his coins on a g.c. consignment form, which requires the consent of the seller on how they want to sell their coins, my guess being that he consigned them without a reserve, without the g.c. assigning a value (roughly starting at about 3/4 of the the coins are worth, the coins are then either bid on or not bid on.
