I started Lamictal, a mood stabilizer in low doses, and I've been great! It does make me somewhat drowsy during the day, but it didn't at first. It also elevated my liver enzymes twofold, which is a common side effect, so I regularly monitor them because without this I wouldn't have anything else to try.

But I have another friend on lamictal for migraines, and she loves it and has no complaints. It might depend on the person, but perhaps it has to do with what reason you’re on it?
