Those of you who have been unlucky and got a defective item should remember that unless it is a Maplin own branded product, you should still have a 1 year manufacturer warranty (some maplin branded items may still have this with the actual manufacturer too - check your packaging / internal leaflet for details).

Maplin saved my arse working in broadcast a few times. Best laid plans and all that. Hours before recording and you realise you need a specific cable or connector? Get your arse to Maplin. Funny how it turns out. 10yrs ago I worked in a Maplin store. Seen both sides of it, as a customer and employee and can't say a bad thing.
