No hospital is perfect and I believe an open mind is required and to experience for yourselves!. For any woman who is booked for Mayday or thinking about having their baby at Mayday please do not fear! The unit is up to date providing excellent facilities and now about to incorporate a new birthing centre situated within the maternity unit itself.

It seems that there are mixed reviews for any hospital and I'm wondering if it's a case of better the devil you know. My experience at Mayday in 2006 was pretty awful, ended up screaming at the first midwife allocated to me as she was not being any help and when my water broke she said it wasn't my water - so what the hell was it??
