It started when I purchased a Mastercraft solid pine six panel door. After preconditioning and then staining the jam, the veneer started to come off, so much for solid. Related: Poor Quality - Menards. I managed to get it back together enough to get it installed. Next I purchased Mastercraft bi fold doors.

The doors leaked the first rain and my beautiful oak flooring is warped. Mastercraft sent new windows (which didn't fit) and then new doors, not once but twice! I am still fighting with Menards and Mastercraft over the floor. There is no customer service, no pride in product and Louise Fox (customer service rep) won't get on the phone.

After repairing all 17 interior special order doors received from Menards I was told by Menards and Mastercraft that they could not compensate me for the cost of repairs. My only option to collect on the extra cost that I had to spend to repair the doors is through small claims court.

Feb 08, 2012 · Implied and Express Warranty NOT Honored. I too had the misfortune to purchase a Mastercraft door from Menards and deal with Louise Fox. My door dosen't seal and they claim it is' improperly installed' It took a complaint to the Attorney General's office for them to even look at the door, again they claim 'improperly installed'.

Dec 21, 2008 · Menards allowed me at my expense of another installation after having purchased two new doors and two new screen doors to exchange one door and frame at my expense for one that fits together. the door actually did not fit the frame. they also informed me to contact mastercraft myself to inspect the front door and the frames.

Since we had so many doors to replace, and so many would be special order, we thought that we'd try to save some money and finish them ourselves.
