My complaint is Nelnet has been slow to respond to my case. The case was opened on September 06,2016, Case 18372240 and the Dept. of Education discharged my federal student loan based on my disability which was confirmed at the time by the Social Security Administration.

Nelnet offered an incentive to decrease loan interests if I signed up for auto debit. I signed up for auto debit under a payment plan of $***** per month.

Sep 08, 2019 · Nelnet & their customer service made my loan repayment so easy. They explained my options and the processes very thoroughly and answered any questions I had, and did so with kindness. I had a couple issues during repayment, and as long as I called Nelnet and explained my situation they always helped me and made sure I never defaulted on my loans.1.5/5(6)

Feb 27, 2018 · Like with Navient and AES, most of the complaints about Nelnet surrounded the handling of payments and the accuracy of information given by Nelnet’s customer service team. Many claimed that Nelnet failed to inform them of their IDR plan options, wrongfully entered their loans into deferment, or misled them about their eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
