I use the Neilmed alladin style pot, but with tap water and table salt since I ran out of packets and refuse to buy more. 8oz of water brought to a boil in the microwave.

I have used a neti pot for many years. Over the last several years I have used a battery operated device instead of the neti pot. It did a good job for me, but had many shortcomings, the biggest of which was the poor quality of the product. I literally had to replace it about twice a year. At a price of around $25 to $30 dollars, it adds up.
