I bought an expensive metal bed frame from Next for occasional use in a spare room. Now, just over a month after the warranty expired, one metal side of the frame has suddenly buckled. This is the only damage to the bed, all the wooden slats are still intact. On the basis of looking at one photograph Next have decided this is fair wear and tear.

I think next has went down hill in quality lately. I think it would be OK if it's something in solid wood, but a lot of it is rubbish. I've started buying furniture from a lovely family owned business and they are surprisingly well priced and they explain what everything is made from.
