2000 Nissan Sentra GXE Although the car has lasted a good while (+180k miles), many small problems make the experience driving the car a hassle. Auto window motors short out, fuses always shorting out, transmission is slow and clunky, radio and speakers had to be replaced despite little use before I bought it, the whole car feels cheaply made.

2001 Nissan Sentra I love my Nissan sentra. I have had no problems since I bought it. I get great gas mileage. There was a recall on the airbags a year ago, and the service dept got me right in and out in less than an hour. If I were in the market of purchasing a new car, I would get another Nissan.

Aug 15, 2007 · WARNING TO 2001 SENTRA GXE OWNERS: DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH A CRANK/CAMSHAFT SENSOR, YOUR ENGINE MAY CUT OUT WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION. I have a Nissan Sentra GXE, model year 2001. Since I purchased the car new, I have had to replace the same part twice, soon to be three times. Once I was lucky enough to have it covered under a product recall.

The handle of my oil dipstick on my 2001 Nissan Sentra gxe broke. I was told that I would have to pay $500 inorder to get the handle out.
