Oct 23, 2010 · I just got my prescription of the new OxyContin OP filled two days ago. This means I have taken 6 - 40 mg tablets so far. After reading some negative reviews stating that they are less effective than the old OxyContin OC, I have to say that they seem to have a slightly more kick to them.

I had given it more time, and conducting my own experiments, and came to the conclusion that for me, the new OP formulation seems to be 20%-25% less effective, as opposed to 80% effective on a 100 point scale.
