Aug 25, 2015 · las794 - I tried to uninstall and reinstall picasa again on the 19th and it then came up with a windows trouble shooting box when I tried to import from my camera. I was able to work through this and choose Windows 8 as the default to open Picasa. I first time I uninstalled and reinstalled picasa I did not get a trouble shooting box to work with.

Obviously most reviewers gave up before learning to use the software. (click the tiny disk icon at top of folder view to save edits to files = resolves most of the complaints here about changes not applying outside picasa or proprietary database complaints. Picasa does use standards for tags, etc. but you must click on save changes.)

3 Main Complaints about Google Photos! 1) Unlike Picasa Web Albums which sorts the Albums the way *I* want them sorted (eg: by Data I gave the Album itself), Google Photos sorts it the way *IT* thinks (eg: by Date of the newest photo in an album) which causes a huge mess in the way the albums are sorted.

Sep 04, 2015 · First, let us emphasize this: for years Picasa has commandeered the Print Screen button and, even more irritating, there is not (and has never been despite complaints about it) a method of disabling the screen capture function in Picasa’s options menus or setting. As long as Picasa is open, the Print Screen button is hijacked by it.
