Still had some left in my ProAir HFA inhaler, so, in desperation, I used it, and experienced IMMEDIATE RELIEF. I've been experiencing pretty bad asthma all week, and I think using the Ventolin has only increased my suffering! If u read the labels, there are some seemingly subtle differences, but, at least for ME, the difference is anything but ...

Generic of ProAir® HFA (albuterol sulfate) Inhalation Aerosol is a direct replacement for the Ventolin inhaler. Its a generic version which dispenses a mist just like Ventolin with a 200 dose counter assembly. No idea of the cost but its got to be cheaper than Ventolin.See the URL below.

No side effects, but I fear death because the ProAir HFA just DOES NOT WORK to stop an asthma attack. I used generic albuterol for over 10 years as needed for asthma attacks. The old albuterol WORKED great, but the FDA & EPA had a problem with the propellant in it, so now we have ProAir, which costs more, but does not work.
