We're in the middle of a hire. Firstly these guys will really push you on the insurance. We have travel insurance and car hire excess insurance but they'll make out you still need more. First €140, then €69. Secondly we noticed that the hire period ended at 12.00pm. We asked the cost to extend it to 5.00pm- double the cost for a whole week!

Hired a vehicle from Record Go rent a car at Alicante airport from 27th December 2017 through to 2nd January 2018 using their premium service which supposedly give a 3 litre leeway on the fuel. Answer 1 of 480: Recently use a car hire firm in Alicante Spain Called Record go, this was arranged through Holiday Autos. We hired the car for a week. On picking up the car it was dented and in poor condition, we were also charged 90 Euros for petrol.

We travel to Spain regularly and always hire a car.. We used the Jet2 portal and chose to rent through Record Rent a car - a company we have used before for the 8 days hire. We picked up the car at Alicante airport.. At the end of the rental we returned the car to Alicante airport in the condition we had rented it in - i.e. lots of dents and scratches all round.

Record Go is a despicable company and I would recommend no one use them what so ever!! If you are used to good service you will get a huge shock using tis company as I did. We picked up our vehicle and paid around 130 euros for fuel at the desk.

We used Record Go to hire a car for 10 days late July/early August and had no problems at all, fantastic service, will definitely use them again. We booked after I had read a mix of reviews on this forum about various car hire companies, decided that so long as we knew what we were doing, read the T&Cs etc, we would go with Record Go as the price for Sixt was simply above our budget.
