A simple mistake was made in the date selected by a single day, I tried to correct this by contacting the Reservation company immediately. I was given the runaround that told that I cannot even modify the reservation despite the fact I was not cancelling but just wanted to shift it by one day (which was the same hotel, same rate).

I then went back into my spam mail and found a confirmation from Reservation Counter for the date requested. I called them (India I believe) and was told that I did in fact have a reservation thru them and that it was fully paid using my credit card. I did not authorize the use of my credit card for anything more than "holding" the room.

Reservation Counter. I made an erroneous reservation through Reservation Counter (pushed the button for MAY instead of APRIL) and IMMEDIATELY called them to throw myself at their mercy. The first person I spoke with put me on hold a few different times because she said she had to call the hotel to confirm cancellation. I was cut off.
