There's absolutely zero focus on staff development (unless you work in front-line services), so unless you really want to become an RSPCA Inspector, my advice as a former employee is to avoid this employment experience like the plague.

The RSPCA still hasn't gone to investigate, or called me back to update me. The Dog Rescuers TV programme and the RSPCA's expensive TV advertising campaigns appear to give a false picture of this charity's commitment to preventing cruelty to animals, and I won't be donating to it again.
