Feb 28, 2013 · I like my Safariland 6378 ALS so much I feel like i NEED to tell people about it and do a quick review. It may seem like it, but i am NOT trying to bag on the SERPA, i used one for a very long time, i just think by comparison the 6378 blows it out of the water.

Feb 23, 2011 · While I would hesitate to go with just the ALS retention on a duty or tactical holster, I carry one as an off-duty/plainclothes holster regulalry. Between the SLS and the ALS systems, I would go with the ALS version that has the hood, such as the such as the 6304 (too many numbers in the Safariland catalog, hard to keep track of all that BS).

Mar 28, 2012 · Yeah the Safariland setup was tailor made for your application. Safariland MLS - MOLLE Locking System: Use the MLS-15 FORK on the holster body on (a) any HARD-BACKED MOLLE/PALS you have available such as a place on your kit that's backed by armor plate or (b) a drop leg panel with a stiffener. You need 2 columns and 4 rows of webbing (2 for the fork, 2 to act as a counterbalance) for …

Mar 19, 2010 · I carry my Sig 220 & 229 in Safariland holsters. 6287 (SLS retention system) for the 229 & a 6378 (ALS) for the 220. Mine came with both the belt & paddle attachments, but the paddles get used all the time. If you need a good, solid level II or III retention holster, I think Safariland is the way to go.

Apr 11, 2014 · Reading about the Safariland ELS system. I take it the beauty of the system is that you can modify the belt pretty much on the fly by using the ELS adapter plates. Is there certain items I would leave on my belt in the same place everytime I shoot, such as my pistol holster and a spare mag or two...

Feb 04, 2020 · I use a Safariland ALS on GCode RTI hardware (the 'duty drop,' I think) for G19 + TLR VIR2. Works perfectly. But, things to be aware of: 1) In order to secure the gun, the holster locks up against the barrel hood cutout, and has a small strut to hold the muzzle.

Aug 16, 2019 · Ya my buddy makes all my holsters and made me my staccato p tlr 1hl appendix rig. But I am dying for safariland to release an als light bearig holster for the staccato. I would like to run the staccato in the same set up as my duty glock which is a safariland with als and als lock with hood guard.

Safariland 6360 Holster 09-07-2008, 07:53 PM. My department recently switched to the M&P 40 and with them they were given the Safariland 6360 ALS holsters. My problem is that the holster section that attaches to my duty belt sticks into my side and causes severe pain in my leg. The plastic section sticks into my side as it protrudes ...

Jul 15, 2011 · And I have no complaints. The one thing about the Safariland ALS that bothers me is that the retention-release button is RIGHT beside the thumb safety on a 1911, and I'm a little uncomfortable with the idea that I might accidentally take my safety off while unholstering under pressure, or from an odd position of cover or evasion.

Aug 02, 2015 · I have several Safariland ALS holsters and I've never found them to be slow, heavy, or lacking. I guess the argument could be made that utilizing the QLS system adds a small amount of bulk. It also made my decision easier that G-Code doesn't appear to offer holsters for the Walther PPQ.
