Jun 01, 2009 · I've been using Schluter products for the last 9 or 10 years, and I only do showers and steam rooms with Kerdi. The pans are a good product, but not for every application. When used, it saves a tremendous amount of time, and money. An example is a 48x48" shower. 20 minutes to install shower base and curb for plumber to hook up drain.

Jan 18, 2009 · DITRA when installed properly is warranted over a 5/8" plywood T&G subfloor. I too am not convinced that's enough subfloor thickness. In a lot of areas the 5/8" subfloor is the minimum building code so I suppose that is why Schluter has chosen to warranty their product over 5/8".

Dec 05, 2009 · As you all know we sold Schluter for many years. We single handed brought the price of Ditra and Kerdi down to a level that "everybody" Could afford it. Before we came to the scene you all were paying an outragous price for Schluters products, this was kept in check by Schluter with agreement called MAP(Manufacture Advised Price).

They required the drain to be plugged and the pan to be filled with 2 in. of water. I have to admit that this is the first time they had ever required a separate inspection of the shower pan. I have no complaints though, if you stand behind your work, it should pass a water test.Author: Tyler Grace

Hello. I'm having a problem with a Schluter Ditra-Heat install. The wire has been run accordingly, ohm tested with my multimeter before install, before tiling, and after tiling. All times, reading 000 on the leads, and 1 on the lead/ground. I connected the control pad, it's the digital touch screen.
