Dec 29, 2014 · Slimlite glass like all other glass will eventualy need replaced so I would weigh the cost of initial purchase against this. The real benefit to the slimline is ofcourse the thin cavity which you cant achieve with most double glazing whilst keeping the same insulation properties.

Feb 08, 2007 · I have the same problem as OP and have double glazing installed but it's still noisy. Through extensive research on the net most companies say that secondary glazing will reduce the noise by AT LEAST 50% and usually 70-80% sometimes 90%! It says gap has to be ideally at least 100mm and thickness of glass different to be more effective.
