Ripoff Report on: Smartfares - Smartfares is a scam internet. I needed to book a ticket next month,and time was running out. So I did rush reviews and found Smartfares got 4 1/2 stars reviews which I thought they had a better prices and services.

DO NOT USE THEM. I booked a multi-city itinerary with SmartFares because it gave me the best flight options for the best price, they gave me a reservation number. Two days went by and my booking was not confirmed when I wrote to them about this, they said the price had changed and I had to pay about +$300 if I still wanted this booking to be confirmed.

SmartFares claims they take great pride in the customer service that they offer. That being said, it appears that SmartFares.com is part of the Travelation brand, which has several complaints, especially with the Better Business Bureau in California. Everything went fine during the time we… Everything went fine during the time we were booking the flight, but when my wifes 94 year old mother needed our help and we needed to cancel the reservation in order to help her as we are her primary care provider we were unable to even get a hold of someone who could help us with that process.

We ultimately were charged $2900 to make our timely escape from the hurricance's path.
