The OSI, wether it is the transom assembly, the sterndrive, or the gimbals, will eventually crack. They all do. And when it does, it gets replaced with a DPS. level 2. Jul 15, 2009 · Several Mechanics gave me the "be warned" message about this product, but due to the numerous reviews I decided to buy a complete upper and lower unit for my searay. The product arrived and appeared undamaged SO after I verified that the product would function, I booked a house in the Keys for a week at the tune of 2000.00. I am burning the midnight oil trying to get the outdrive installed.

Feb 16, 2020 · I actually think that the sterndrive would have a few advantages - namely getting a more efficient engine (GPH), a 4 stroke engine and no exhaust smell, and quieter. The disadvantages I see is there is more to the sterndrive to winterize. Probably a little heavier and maybe less room in the interior. Am I missing anything?
